Paraquat

In October 2020, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) extended the use of paraquat despite the earlier conclusion that this pesticide poses potential risks to people, wildlife, and the environment. This measure allows the EPA to keep the Paraquat pesticide on the market until 2035 according to the Legal Reader.

Scientific evidence has proven a correlation between exposure to paraquat and the development of Parkinson’s disease, as demonstrated by numerous studies. Those who have repeatedly been exposed to Paraquat while in their teens or as young adults have a 200 to 600% greater risk of developing Parkinson’s.
